Teething Twins

What's worse than a baby that is teething? 2 babies that are teething! Sometimes Dustin will ask me in the morning how many times I was up with the babies. I can honestly say that most of the time I don't rememeber! But last night I tried to remember how things played out and so here it goes. I also want to add that our computer is on the blitz, so I am trying to update this before our computer is out for a couple of days. So, consequently Dustin and I were up late last night trying to save all of our stuff onto flash drives and CDs.

8:30 p.m. Both babies in bed asleep.
11:30 p.m. Dustin and I go to bed (later than we wanted to)
12:00 a.m. Chase cries out, and I think that he will go back to sleep.
12:05 a.m. Nope, he's awake. I get him before he wakes up Kourtney. He doesn't want a bottle he just wants to be comforted.
12:45 a.m. Put Chase back in bed.
1:30 a.m. He's up again! It must be his teeth, right? Maybe, but I give him a bottle as well.
2:00 a.m. Chase is back in bed and so am I. I swear no sooner did I climb in bed when I heard the rumbling. Which only means one thing.. a train is coming by!
It comes and goes and I hold my breath hoping that it doesn't wake Chase. It doesn't wake him thank goodness, but it did wake Kourtney! There is no way she will put herself back to sleep, and she is way loud when she cries. So, I go in to comfort her for a few minutes.
2:45 a.m. I usually fall asleep on the rocking chair, so I get back to bed 45 min. later than when I went in there.
3:00 a.m. Chase is up again! This time I know he can't want a bottle. So I give up and lay on the couch with him.
5:00 a.m. I hear Dustin getting into the shower. I go put Chase in bed, crawl into my bed and don't remember a thing from there (except for a strange dream I had).
7:30 a.m. Time to get up and get the kids ready for school.

Not too bad huh? All I can say is I get the best sleep after 5 a.m.

Oh, my word...the memories are flooding back! Although, even now it seems we have issues with one or two children in the night on a regular basis. When we first started out, we were each in charge of a twin in the night. Then, we started to take shifts in the night. Brandon was in charge of the first(example 10-2), he wasn't awake the whole time, just in case they did wake up. That was so that he could get a good chunk of sleep in before getting up for work, and I'd take the second shift (about 2 or 3 'til morning). It was hard on him because he was not just working but going to school, but it just had to be that way. I always used to say we were zombies and two people who probably shouldn't be taking care of children! Ha ha. Maybe you could go to bed early on some nights and get a good chunk of sleep on Dustin's watch, before the madness happens after midnight or 1. That might help. I feel for ya! Did you ever get a sound machine so princess Kourtney can't hear everything?
P.S. Advil and Benadryl are nice helpers also! :) Gotta love them! Good luck to you guys!

so sorry. That does not sound like fun. ugh. Tinkerbell is a new character since that movie just came out. There is an area to the right of the castle that is now Pixie Hollow. It was really cute and actully one of you longest lines. Call me if you need anything. Dani said to call her to babysit. Remember she can handle twins. And Bay would come too. She loves anything in a diaper and under two.

Oh yuck. I'm just the opposite. Jacey usually gives me a pretty good chunk of sleep until sometimes 3 or 4 and it all just goes to crap after that. I usually lay in her little twin daybed with her, getting kicked and rolled over, listening to her talk about her hyper dreams, waking up every ten or twenty minutes. I also think the sound machine is a good idea and happen to have one that isn't being used. I'll try to bring it over.

Oh Lisa- you deserve a medal for all the work and sleepless nights. I need to come by and get Chloe so you can nap with the twins!
